Wayne Ditch, artist and art restoration master, passed away Nov. 28, 2011, after a battle with esophageal cancer, at the age of 57. He was born in Lafayette, LA, and graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He dedicated his life to his work, friends, and family. Wayne was able to find beauty and artistry in everything he did. His enthusiasm and passion for life will be remembered through the work he created and the memories shared by the people he loved.

He was preceded in death by parents, Melvin Francis and Jeanette Paula Ditch. He is survived by sons, Jarret (Alyssa), Justin and Christopher; grandchildren, Jayden and Amaya; siblings, Thomas (Gail) Ditch, Francis Ditch, Jane Ditch, Nanette Alverson, Paul (Anne) Ditch.

Per his wishes, Wayne was cremated. A reflection of his life and the works he created will be held at Acadiana Center of the Arts for close friends and family members from 4 to 6 p.m., and open to the public from 6-8 p.m. on December 10, 2011.
